In between incidents, accidents, biblical floods and a hospitalisation, we (or most of us) finally completed the London to Southend bike ride on Sunday 20th July 2014.

Coming in at closer to 60 miles rather than the advertised 52 miles, the ChunkyChips.net Display Team (resplendent in way-too-tight Lycra, above) carved a path through the wilds of south-east Essex from Victoria Park, East London, out into the Essex countryside, finishing up in a rain-swept Priory Park in Southend for a swift beer and an evening of Thigh-Ache and saddle-soreness relief.

Although this year was really a trial in terms of fundraising, the team raised several hundreds of pounds for charity, and we aim to make a more concerted push for fundraising for future events.
